The Honorary Doctorate is the highest recognition our University can bestow. It is conferred upon distinguished individuals who embody the values, spirit, and mission of GUST through remarkable achievements, sustained professional excellence, and outstanding service of national or international significance.
At GUST, we firmly believe that those who dedicate themselves to the betterment of society deserve recognition, regardless of fame, status, or financial privilege. For this reason, our Honorary Doctorate program celebrates individuals of substance, whose influence and dedication uplift others and inspire future generations.
All candidates are reviewed under the GUST Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) Framework, which ensures integrity, fairness, and academic credibility in the honorary conferment process.

Dr. Lilian Nneka Nneji
Honorary Doctor of Music
Dr. Nneji is an internationally recognized gospel minister, worship leader, and recording artist, celebrated for her energetic performances and uplifting songs. Dr. Catherine Chinyelu Ekwelibe

Dr. Ekwelibe is a first-class academic and accomplished entrepreneur, founder of PAKS Co. Ltd, a major facility management and infrastructure services company employing over 500 personnel across Nigeria. Her professional leadership, community contributions, and role in women’s economic empowerment reflect excellence in management and service.
Dr. Everton Mlalazi
Honorary Doctor of Music
Dr. Mlalazi is a leading Zimbabwean gospel artist whose inspirational music promotes hope, unity, and worship across Africa. His collaborations with award-winning choirs and international ministry influence have earned him multiple prestigious gospel awards. He is recognized for uplifting communities through music and spiritual message.
Dr. Thabang Mnisi
Honorary Doctor of Arts & Humanities
Dr. Mnisi is a South African media publicist, producer, and cultural promoter who has supported the careers of major gospel musicians and artists. His work in event production, broadcasting, marketing, and public relations has strengthened the creative industry and elevated African gospel arts representation.
Dr. Nonye Ayeni
Honorary Doctor of Business Administration
Dr. Ayeni is the CEO of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and a distinguished leader in national economic development and international trade. National Civil Aviation Authority



The Global University of Science & Technology (GUST) HR Management Institute (HRMI), headed by Prof. Mohamed Gamal Kafafy are collaborating with Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) the regulatory body for aviation in Nigeria, as autonomous with the passing into law of the Civil Aviation Act 2006 by the National Assembly and assent of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Act not only empowers the Authority to regulate Aviation Safety without political interference, but also to carry out oversight functions of Airports, Airspace, Meteorological Services, as well as economic regulations of the industry.
The GUST successfully implemented three-tier professional management development programs for HR & Administration Specialists, Managers, and Senior Managers from the National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) with total 140 participants at three proficiency levels & batches.

This foundational level focused on establishing core competencies in human resources management, covering essential principles, practices, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to aviation industry standards.

The intermediate level concentrated on developing managerial skills, strategic thinking, and advanced HR practices necessary for effective team leadership and departmental management within the aviation regulatory environment.

The advanced level emphasized executive leadership, strategic planning, organizational development, and high-level decision-making capabilities required for senior management positions in civil aviation administration.

🎓3rd International Professional Graduation Ceremony in Rwanda
The Global University of Science & Technology (GUST), headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed G. Kafafy, celebrated the professional graduation ceremony of a new batch for a group of executive Managers from esteemed government, public and private organizations has taken place in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda November 2024.
The graduates were students in professional education & certifications for Management development program in three disciplines: HR Management, Operations Management and Procurement & Supply Chain Management. These programs conducted to award dual international certifications : 1st Professional Certifications by the HR Management Institute (HRMI) and 2nd International Professional Certificate by GUST at the end of the program upon completion the examinations successfully.
